RIP Van Arno.

His majestically drawn woman have drawn my eye ever since my first interest in the lowbrow art scene.
My first painting I ever purchased was a Van Arno.
Wish I would have gotten to meet the man in person for some drawing classes.

Did anyone here what happened?

There's nothing in the announcements that I've seen. He posted on FB late last week, so I'm assuming it was pretty sudden.

As you say, a sad loss. Big fan of his work.

I follow him on Instagram and he posted 4 days ago about an upcoming drawing class, so I guess so.

Bummer. There are some nice stories/tributes from old friends/artists on his fb page.

His work often reminded me of a more wacky/cartoony version of Nicola Verlato (who's work I love) in a good way.
