Facebook knobs

Coming up on my EB anniversary in a week or so, I’d just like to say I hope this place recovers and gets closer to its glory days. It’s still wonderful community, but nowhere near the traffic as the old days.
Looking back it really was special.
Sadly Facebook has taken over. Not sure why… there’s no way to tell if you’re sending some dickwad grifter your cash. No feedback. The worst part is the group control freaks.
I spent a half hour putting together a for sale post for Phish Ink on Facebook.
What a shitshow.
I read the ridiculous 84 pages of rules and did everything thetwats asked.
Still not sure why my post was immediately removed.
One: Possibly because I mentioned eBay… I said my price was 2/3 of someone’s eBay listing.
Two: Because I put a picture of a handbill in the comments and said might trade or sell this someday.
Guessing it was number two… because the mod said it is FORBIDDEN TO SHARE PICTURES OF POSTERS.
Want to know why?
Because someone may message me with an offer. What? He actually typed that fudge.
I swear to god that actually happened today.
drymounting mind numbing…
Earlier in the year I was kicked out of an Emek group for asking for any information on a rare handbill.
These people are drymounting complete nut jobs.
What can we do to make this the place to be again?
Thanks for listening to my rant.

Yeah it can be very hard to tolerate behavior on FB. Ebeans is like a classy cigar bar no one thinks about anymore and the FB poster groups are like the McDonald’s ball pit with little kids pissing and shitting themselves in said communal plastic ball pool. It’s just the new normal.

I think you meant "still should not bother to have a fb account". drymount all that noise. Discord is where all the real action is anyways.

I finally hopped on the discord app a couple weeks ago. Don't hate it, yet.

Old man shaking his fist at FB.
That’s where the game is.
What game I have no freakin’ idea.
That frustrating down time on this site took it’s toll.
Hoping it slowly starts chugging along… I can’t take much more of the bs I witnessed today. It was like a candid camera skit. It felt like I was getting pranked it was so ridiculous…
Glad I can always count on an oof from my ol’ pal Mikey… I’m still on here every damn day.
I’ll be thinning the herd if anyone wants to pad their stash. Cheers y’all…

Yeah, I don't get the whole FB thing either. A forum is MUCH more organized and user friendly. FB is one huge ass feed. A forum at least has sections and you can review post history and perform searches. I really don't get it at all.

The repetition of standard poster/art questions is my biggest peeve. The rest is just nonsense and noise I just choose to filter and/or ignore.

There is a lot of posturing and attention seeking due to the nature of its set up with like buttons. Some folk just need that daily dopamine fix I guess...

Its a power trip for some…
Controlling a poster group on FB.
So weird.

It's pretty juvenile.

I loathe most FB groups. The brown nosing towards group admins is sickening. I have no choice but to go there to get the latest on new products that I buy.

I imagine there are a lot of people that still use the database... this forum - not so much. Along with the 'down time'... it's really not surprising that folks moved to FB. You have to admit that this forum wasn't the most welcoming to members (new or old). Can't really blame anyone else for that. This place will turn the nicest people into an ass - given time... or they just leave and go elsewhere.

There were/are too many alts on this forum. A lot of scammers, too. Just wasn't worth it anymore.

I deleted my Twitter account earlier this year and have been toying with doing the same thing for fb, too
