Uhm-m-m-m... a few of you accuse over-reaction. LOL Sorta funny coming from a prepper thread.

Ain't judging. Just sayin'...

Let's get back to preppin. Any recs for lighting for power outages? Looking for battery backup, solar, etc.
I’ve got a Goal Zero yeti generator.
Nice being able to charge it up when power is available, or hook up a couple panels when powers out.
There are cheaper ways...but it’s easy.

Which version? Those things can get crazy expensive. Was looking at some jackery fudge since the power has gone out here a few times within the past couple of months, yesterday for almost 15 hours. I can't imagine it's going to get any better during the corona era.

I just got the Yeti 1000 that was bundled with the Nomad solar charging panel from Costco. It's pretty compact and we've used it to charge a few things so far.

The 400 and a boulder 100 panel.
It’s primary purpose for me was long camping trips. It’s usually more than enough for a small group of basic needs. Haven’t needed the panel but might if the SHTF.
Long term(week+) or heavier duty use would def need the bigger ones.

Have rigged it up with the string lights during a couple brief power outages.

Prolly in the bunker waiting for the new year's eve celebration with boxed wine and MRE prime rib.

It's concerning...fudge is bad down there. Watched a YT vid showing rats are running rampant in the streets.
