do not bring co-sleeping past a certain stage, if at all. Get them sleeping in their crib at least one nap a day around 4-5 months (imo). It only gets harder to get them sleeping on their own.

Couldn’t agree more. So many of my friends did cosleeping now their kids are 4-5 years old still sleeping the parents bed. Our kids have been in their crib from three months on. It’s more work on the front it but worth it in the long run

Just shorten to no co-sleeping. If you feel the need to have the youngun that close buy a rolling bassinet.

Wife: I bough this thing so the kid can sleep between us in the bed

One night later.....

Me and wife: the kid sleeps in the bassinet.

If any of our school age kids roll into our room they know to bring their pillow and blanket because they are sleeping on the carpeted floor.

Infants are high maintenance. Literally can’t do a thing on their own. Toddlers are like watching your drunk friend all day long. Teenagers are like having roommates that don’t pay rent.
