lol, depends on the age spread I think . . . two under 4 is tough; two over 5 and reasonably close in age, gets a lot easier and a lot more fun. Two teenagers (especially a boy and a girl) becoming more difficult, :D

In truth the second and third kids are easier because you don't take it as seriously.

Crying 101

Check if baby is:
1. Hungry
2. Wet
3. Overtired
4. Sick (Temp/Fever)
5. Hot/Cold due to environment.
6. Colic
7. Looking for attention* (if coddled**).

*Don't overindulge the baby as much as you think its necessary to pay them attention.
**Don't become that parent that goes and drives the kid around in the car to get them to sleep claiming they 'need' the white noise to sleep.

Mankind gave birth into the wet cold dirt for generations and is still around. Sterile wipes, cleansing kits and isolating the child from its natural surrounds and food types set you up for drama in the long run.

Go with you gut and common sense and don't even delude yourself that a certain self help book or sleeping technique will magically unlock your kids perfect state of being. First three months are a bitch for sleep and emotion. But it gets better. 8)

 there's a reason life expectancy was in the 20's when people gave birth in the dirt. You should definitely be cleaning your baby.

Not to the point of them having allergies to every nut and dairy product out there or a hysterical mother who freaks out at mud or grass being in contact with their 'precious baby' tho.
