One year of no BBQ talk?!? Someone make me hungry (looks longingly at Wottagunn's BBQ pics). Also looking for some inspiration as I have departed apartment life and have room for a smoker.

I did 2 chickens and 1 pork butt last week. Vac packed it all.

Nice! I've been debating a vacuum sealer for a while. What's the ballpark on how long you keep meat/BBQ?

I've had my sealer for about a year. The meat I have packed then is still very well.

The other good thing about vacuum sealing is you can do a makeshift sous vide to reheat. That said, the last time I did it the bag came apart at the end for some reason so be careful the meat doesn't drown.
