Definitely the work of a pro/somebody who has been practicing.

Thankfully my Fairey tube was OK.

Doesn't look like it - between my son's spring break, my parents being in town, and my nephew's birthday party (in Oklahoma) being Saturday, it's looking pretty difficult to get down.

Had considered driving down yesterday to catch Superchunk, but then they announced the May shows so that became less pressing. Would love to catch any of the showcases where Superorganism is playing, but that seems very unlikely at this point. I am going to catch Yamataka // Sonic Titan playing up here tonight, so the week isn't a total bust :P

What are you going to try and catch?

Restaurant/Bar recommendations within a few blocks of ACL Live? Looking at the map on my phone it looks like the possibilities are numerous. A wall of whiskey is always a plus.

It's a little pricey, but Lamberts is super close.

I saw that name when I was looking at the map - just checked out the menu, and it looks great. Appreciate the recommendation.

The short rib and banana pudding were drymounting delicious. Thanks again!

Now me and my friend just have to kill an hour before hitting the show.

Hello again Austinites! I’m in town this weekend for a three day music fest and am looking for recs on stuff to do Saturday/Sunday until about 3 each day.

Any good:

Hiking trails of decent length (5+ miles)?
Even better: mountain biking trails?
Shopping - used book stores (other than half price) music stores (other than Waterloo and End of an Ear)?
Museums?

Trying to get some stuff to do thats not “start drinking at 10am” :P
