just finished Stephen King's dome book. it was enjoyable for the ride but the destination was as expected...meh.
also finished peter schiff's "Crash Proof." either this guy is mr doomsday for the US dollar as he's been vilified, or he's nostra-frickin-damus and we're drymounted. probably both. i need a drink.

I read all of the Y's too. They were pretty damn good. I know what you're saying about the women thing but my girlfriend read it and she absolutely loved it, more than me even. He definitely pokes fun but it's in a very comical way. Check it out, you'll definitely enjoy it.machination wrote:That's my next graphic novel read, actually! I heard it makes women seem a bit pathetic, but I'll give it a go and judge for myself. Brian K. Vaughan doesn't disappoint.bosephus wrote:Try "Y: The Last Man". It's amazing!machination wrote:I started it but never got back to it. I really want to try again.CameronFrye wrote:Going to start Cormac McCarthy's The Road before the movie - anyone read it?

I'll be reading Let the Right One In soon. I heard the film was amazing, but I may try my luck with the book first.
And graphic novels are gems in the literature world. My latest one is "Astonishing X-Men" ("Preacher" and "Runaways" are among my favourites in that genre).
I'm just wrapping up Ed Viesturs newest book "K2 - Life and Death on the Worlds Most Dangerous Mountain." Next up is John Krakauer's newest, "Where Men Win Glory", about Pat Tillman's life and death in Afghanistan. I'm looking forward to reading that one. After I'm done with that one I might re-read "Into Thin Air."

Just finished this one this morning:

A damn good writer and I was sad to hear that he passed.
