I'd be curious how that is compared to the show. I've only seen Season 1 and need a rewatch in addition to the new seasons that have subsequently been released.

I read that awhile ago loved the book but bailed on the show .
Thanks for the feedback. Yeah, Season 1 I really wanted to like because I really liked the concept and it was decent but that's about it, just decent. Probably why I haven't been in any rush to catch up on it.

IT FOLLOWS

Another addition to my running collection of Devil's Advocates series. Seriously, this series is a must for any horror fan looking for an interesting and thought provoking film analysis. This was on the lighter side of the collection, coming in at just 90 pages, but still thoughtful nonetheless. I recently rewatched the film again before reading this and I still love it. The film works as a straight forward entity tracking down those who are next on its list. Or there are a lot of subtext in terms of sex, maturity, the entity, lack of parental oversight as well as other topics that can be unpacked.

The Man in the High Castle was a decent read, wasn't overly enamored with it though. And the ending left me a bit confused, didn't seem to make much sense.

Started rereading Neal Stephenson's The Baroque Cycle.

I’ve never actually finished this - I always really enjoy the first 600 or so pages (I think I’ve started the cycle three times now) and then lose interest. I keep telling myself I’ll get back to it but never do. And I love this era of Stephenson, both Cryptonomicon and Anathem are personal favorites.

I haven't read Anathem but I liked Cryptonomicon quite a bit. It's been about 10 years since I read the Baroque's but I seem to recall the last 2 books picking up the pace from the first. Definitely long, dense books though.

Anathem is a personal favorite of mine; one of the smartest works of speculative fiction that I've read - the way Stephenson pulls off the last 100 or so pages of the book is truly thrilling.

Pretty sure I've still got my hardcovers of Baroque sitting on a shelf at home, I really do need to make the time to revisit.

After watching the great TV series (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt6866266/), I figured I'd check this out. It's a breeze of a read, you could get through it in a day.

Looking for a few suggestions for somethings to add to my audible queue.. I go through a 9-10 hour book in a week, give or take thanks to my commute.

I just finished my second run through the Mitch Rapp series (first time was while I was carpooling with someone, so I missed things here and there with different days off.) I've also gone through the Scot Harvath series, The Gray Man, Orphan X.. That's generally in the genre I stick to.. Anyone got anything new for me to add?
