Fat Joe's book was fire - I'm on the hunt for more hip-hop novels! If anyone has any suggestions let me know

Just started We are Legion (we are Bob). Only a few chapters in but I really like the tone so far.

Just finished Demon Copperhead, Kingsolver’s latest and co-winner of the Pulitzer this year. Haven loved an ending of a book this much in a long long time. Even got a little misty. : ) Highly recommend this page-turner. Liked it a lot more than the other winner, Hernan Diaz’s Trust. That one was unique but very boring to me. His first book In the Distance is much better.

Just about half-way through this from your post. Really enjoying it. I do like her writing style, and am curious if her other titles are in similar style. Thanks!earlgreytoast wrote: ↑Tue Jul 11, 2023 11:38 pmJust finished Demon Copperhead, Kingsolver’s latest and co-winner of the Pulitzer this year. I bought this on your recommendation and have just finished it. Absolutely brilliant, thanks for posting, I couldn't put it down. It reminded me of Murakami, in style.
Paramount have bought the film rights for for $2m, it would be interesting to see how it translates to the big screen.

I put The Twelve down shortly after posting this and haven't picked it up again. Can anyone motivate me to go back, knowing that if I do I'll have to read the 3rd book, too? Or should I just move on to other subject matter, being fine with not completing the series?
