As someone who just dropped a ton of points on first class tickets to your neck of the woods I would in retrospect use them on coach. I know that the value is way greater in first class (and the comfort/food/bowing Korean women) but I think I would rather be able to go back a few more times for the same number of points.mrkyuss wrote:Agreed, I nearly have two first class tickets to the States on my Qantas frequent flyers linked Visa.

Also, Qantas lounges are about to start enforcing a "business casual" dress code pretty hard. drymount that fudge. I will wear sweatshorts, flip flops and my ODB shirt while I hob knob with fancy pants business men if I so damn well please.

Agreed, I might use 'em on upgrading to business for domestic flights. Otherwise they will be used to fly the family in economy.maden wrote:As someone who just dropped a ton of points on first class tickets to your neck of the woods I would in retrospect use them on coach. Speaking of Qantas, I paid 100 bucks to get a 'premium' seat with extra leg room on the long haul from Paris. Turns out flight was about 20% full and people ended up getting an entire row each.
Also, never flying Qantas long distance again after experiencing the new A380 Emirates. You don't even notice you are lifting off the ground in those suckers. Food was (almost) bearable too.

Yeah, glorified economy with extra leg room. I just like the fact you can get off the plane first and don't have to wait and watch the EBers struggle to get their bags from the overheads.
