Late night update. Old Forester original batch is kinda boring and uncomplex sadly.

I have never had it but hear it is excellent. Someone on here posted it was probably the best they have ever had awhile ago.

You put the Scotch back in the boxes when they're not posing for photos, right?

Looks like you need a Johnnie Gold 18 Year...

Nah, the entire closet/room is set up for wine...it's temperature controlled and completely dark when lights are turned off. Even merlot walls/ceiling.

Honestly I don't even really drink Johnnie Walker... all of that is for my friends when they come over.
Couple of the Explorer Collections are pretty tasty though; picked them up at duty free shops in a few different parts of the world.

that was my other guess but I was too lazy to type it out.

Of the Johnnies, I think I like the discontinued Gold Label and the Swing Scotch most of all.

I had batch one and killed a bottle in under a week it was that good. Hunted down a second bottle and tried to ration it but it only last two weeks.

At a local, I believe it's the first time I have found this while not actually in KY. Must have just put them out last night. Guy behind us in line had 3 bottles and said that someone called him to let him know they were available.

Had this for the first time last night. It was quite good, lots of oak, with a light vanilla/sweet finish, no bite, and did I say lots of oak?!

When did Eagle Rare 10 Year stop being a single barrel, and are single barrel bottles still available?

I have one unopened 1.75, and it's a single barrel.
Anyone notice a big difference when it changed?

a little... The non-single barrel Eagle Rare 10 year is still better than most in that price range, however. I have bottles of both and have tasted them side by side on many occasion. I was recently gifted a bottle of 20 year Barterhouse... despite the controversy, i must say i'm a fan. A lot of fun. Unfortunately, i'm off the sauce for a few months now due to medical reasons.
