You guys ever do barrel picks in the Bourbon Society of Baton Rouge jmagee87?

As for me, a little bit of bourbon, and a little bit of reading.

Oh yeah. We've done a bunch in the past couple of years. The reason I went to Kentucky a few weeks ago was to do a barrel pick at Buffalo Trace and Wilderness Trail for our bourbon society

This isnt my pic, but it's all the ones we've done so far. We've got another 6 I can think of that we've picked but havent been bottled yet.

The ones we've done already are Knob Creek, Ragged Branch, Buffalo Trace, Four Roses, Sugarfield (3x), Whistlepig, Old Soul, Jack Daniels Barrel Proof, Woodford Double Oak, Sagamore, Tumbling Dice, Jack Daniels Rye

Nice, they ever have leftovers or they usually sell out? I'm in a group too and they've done New Riff, TD, WR Double Oak (which has been my absolute favorite), Nulu, Sagamore, Larceny BP, Balcones, Woodinville, Buffalo Trace, and Elijah Craig with about 17 more to go this year.

Pretty much always sells out. Our membership is about 600 right now so they pretty much always sell out

Do they ship or pick-up only?

Pick up only. Our picks are sold through a couple of partner stores locally. I think there's some out of town people that get others in the group to pickup and ship for them

Gotcha. Enjoy them!

This was my haul from today. I've cut back a little on my buying but splurged today. All of these I've never tried before with the exception of the Evan Williams BiB and SiB.

Trying Sam Houston for the first time. Got it about $20-$30 off MSRP and I enjoyed it. Good, but nothing that blew me away. Had a little bit of heat on it but at almost 75% corn, I was a little disappointed and I typically like corn and wheat bourbons but this didn't have the same smooth and creaminess I associate with those grains.

Scored this today. Talking to the shop manager and he pulled it out the back and told me happy Father’s Day.

Feels like a Dickel kinda hump day. First time trying out the 8 & 12 years (and that 15 is delicious and at a great price point).
