World of Whiskey
Had some friends over the other night for an EHT flight.
I really miss the days when I could find EHT easily

Love the small batch. It’s not stocked at regular retailers, but it’s pretty available in smaller shops near me in Southern California. Just bought another bottle last week. They had the rye too for $150. How is it? For comparison, my favorite ryes are Woodinville and Pikesville.

Have ya paid your dues, Jack? Yessir, the check is in the mail.
The Rye is really good. But not for $150. I paid $70 for it at my store. There's equal or better ryes under the $150 mark. I'd buy it at $70 (retail) all day, but not $150.Bryman wrote: ↑Wed Mar 24, 2021 1:58 pmLove the small batch. I can get the small batch if I'm lucky 1-2 times a year. Thankfully I've befriended the alcohol manager at my grocery store and he's hooked me up with Rye and single barrel.
Our rankings ended up being
1. Barrel Proof
2. 18 year marriage
3. Four Grain
4. Single Barrel
5. Rye
6. Small Batch
7. Grain of the Gods
All were super good. And I really liked Grain of the Gods. It's just very off profile from the rest of them so it's hard to compare it to the rest of the lineup.

Wow, interesting. Kinda surprised the SB is that low on the list but to each his own. However, I will agree that I prefer the SiB over the Rye (but SB still takes the cake for me). Glad/jealous you got to try them all! Making relationships is definitely the way to go in this hobby.
Don't get me wrong. Small Batch is great. And I always keep it in stock at home. But the others are just so damn good. Barrel Proof may be my favorite bourbon I've ever had.

I've been chasing BP for the last year and have never seen one in the flesh. Maybe one day I'll get lucky? Got lucky on the SR and SiB as now all I ever see is the SB.
