Well, I’ve been trying a lot more and my bottle collection has grown to a few staples: weller special reserve and 107, blantons, Buffalo Trace, E.H. Taylor small batch, and a George T. Stagg which I’ll open when I appreciate it more.

I’ve also been to a few bars and tried a lot of stuff to see what I liked and didn’t like. I’d love to find a bottle of Elmer t lee. That was delicious. And it’s frustrating that weller 12 seems to be on shelves in other states. I pretty much have to blow any store owners her to get that fudge.

I’m trying not to go overboard and just have a ton of bottles sitting there. I’m opening and enjoying stuff on the weekends with friends. :pint:

ETL is some of the best bang for your buck. I just picked up a few bottles for reserve along with the Bookers 30.

If you can find any other bottles that are going for retail I’d be interested. Seeing bottles go for $100 in the secondary annoys me. But I guess I’m happy I don’t feel the need to pay those prices for bottles. It’s just juice.

Every time I see this thread get bumped I think to myself, "get in here". Then I realize I don't know fudge and drink too much beer anyway.

Anyway found this on a localish site, prices look good?

Pricey are crazy... a few FB groups I am in I want to say it's usually $900-$1k for the 15 and maybe $1.3k-1.4k for the 20.

That's nuts. I was joking about prices being good, although I honestly didn't know what aftermarket goes for.

Yeah and those I mentioned will be cheaper than most of the stores because it's people selling directly to others or trading. So I guess it's partly true since you will find them in stores most often times priced higher than what I said.

Either way, crazy stuff.

If it is half as good as the Big Time Rye from a few years ago it will be well worth the pricetag.

Some folks I know are heading to Kentucky for a trip, Louisville and Lexington.

Any producers they absolutely need to go to and any good places to eat in both?

Thanks for any tips

Recently grabbed an HP 30 and the store owner threw in a Stagg at cost. I've been collecting for 5 years and thats the first BTAC I have ever gotten at retail.
