It is their annual limited release. It is the pre release version at cask strength, which has actually never come to the US. Supposed to be like Oog but a little sweeter.

Yeah, I noticed that after my post. Pa. seems to be the only place stateside where it's available.

Seems to be selling for a lot more everywhere else, but I suspect this is due to flipping.

edit: I hesitated, and missed out.

Willett has released their first in house bourbon, believe its 4 year old. I had their 3 year old in house Rye when I was there, wasn't that impressed, too young.

If you are a tobacco user, you may find that the marriage of Stranahan's and a nice smoke is unlike any other.
I have no idea why this is.

Agreed. I used to drink Stranny with a cigar pretty often back in the states. And I think it is (or was) the mildly spicy vanilla notes that made it work.
If you're into blasphemy + a decent buzz it also pairs well with TenFidy imperial stout.

ps This was a gift from my wife's bestF, with whom she drank 3/4 of a bottle of a one-off offering of single-cask Stranahan's one night while I was out of town. I'd filled it myself alongside their original head distiller. The debt remains...unpaid.

Son of Bourye was pretty yummy, and may be more easily found.

good score!
which bottling of Elmer is that?

edit: here's how you find out - this is the serial numbering on a spring 2014 bottle:
