It is their annual limited release. It is the pre release version at cask strength, which has actually never come to the US. Supposed to be like Oog but a little sweeter.padelimike wrote:Ardbeg Dark Cove Committee Release just hit Pa. online for $109.99

Yeah, I noticed that after my post. Pa. seems to be the only place stateside where it's available.jrsheppa wrote: It is the pre release version at cask strength, which has actually never come to the US.
Seems to be selling for a lot more everywhere else, but I suspect this is due to flipping.
edit: I hesitated, and missed out.

If you are a tobacco user, you may find that the marriage of Stranahan's and a nice smoke is unlike any other.fredo wrote:Special delivery.
I have no idea why this is.
Agreed. I used to drink Stranny with a cigar pretty often back in the states. And I think it is (or was) the mildly spicy vanilla notes that made it work.padelimike wrote:If you are a tobacco user, you may find that the marriage of Stranahan's and a nice smoke is unlike any other.fredo wrote:Special delivery.

If you're into blasphemy + a decent buzz it also pairs well with TenFidy imperial stout.
ps This was a gift from my wife's bestF, with whom she drank 3/4 of a bottle of a one-off offering of single-cask Stranahan's one night while I was out of town. I'd filled it myself alongside their original head distiller. The debt remains...unpaid.
just a foil for me today, thanks

Son of Bourye was pretty yummy, and may be more easily found.electrachrome wrote:Ive been on the lookout for the Bou-Rye ...I might settle and grab a bottle of High West American Prairie instead.
