Vintage movie poster collection up for auction at Heritage Auctions. Gotta' have some deep pockets for a few of them. Still... neat to see a few familiar posters in the alternative section. I'm not affiliated w/the auction house... just info that showed up on my YT feed.

Whatever the drymount happened to the hockey thread? I thought there is no “expiry” date anymore?

Ain't it still a year for Music, Sports, and Cinema under "Art Related"? Sure says so in the fine print.

If I remember correctly, pewter (I think it was, or one of the other mods) said a while back that they removed the rule since hardly anyone is posting and there would be no threads left otherwise.

I also think I posted a pic of fat Ovi in August saying that the record may have to wait till better times. Wanted to quoted that post now and say boy was I wrong.

With tip off imminent in the title game, just going to take a moment to say I haven’t seen someone choke as hard as Duke in the semis since watching Deepthroat,

Congrats to Rory in the Masters. What a seesaw adventure. What a few good holes, fudge the bed….rinse and repeat. Man, did he stick the approach on the first playoff.

drymounting pathetic.
There’s no way America will survive four years of this embarrassing ignorance and treason.

Had a Twitter/X account for a few years now. Follow under 100 people. Have never made a post there or “liked” or whatever any of the posts made by others. Basically zero participation aside from reading. Had zero followers as well (aside from dozens/hundreds of bots or whatever they are that regularly get cleaned out). All of a sudden, for whatever reason, a NYT journalist with hundreds of thousands of followers (he follows about 1,500 people himself) started following me some time ago apparently. True story, lol. Fingers crossed for being added to a group chat down the line! It’s clearly becoming a thing.

Another thing. Imagine thinking that FDA, for example, should drop its standards and policies so that some country could export their fudge to the US. Moreover, imagine that the Japanese would run and start buying up American made garbage cars over what they themselves produce if Japan lowered its safety standards.

It’s like these people have never been outside in their own cities and looked around taking note of the cars that drive by. Weirdly, this is far from the strangest things that have been occurring for the past few months.
