Heard about this from some friends. He’s one of the many from EB where I hear his name and go, dang, I know I owe that guy one from that thing I forgot, I should look up what the hell he hooked up and when and try to make things right. And then I forget, and now it’s too late.

It’s the rare wildman that is also the kind of guy that nobody has anything bad to say about. Bummer news.

Go outside, spend times with the ones you love. Cheers.

Extremely sad news. He always brought a lot of fun to this place.

Sad and terrible news. I spend a lot of time in the Framing Corner and I've always enjoyed his comments and advice. RIP James. You will be missed.

I am completely gutted. Like too many of my friends gone too soon, James brimmed with life and lived it well.
He may never smile in his pictures, but he was definitely enjoying the ride.

Rest easy James Gunter

Luls. Sweet ban hammer screen shot. It’s nice seeing all the old head lurkers coming out to pay their respects.

First thing that came to mind was his avatar. Yes, a dude who was around from the earlier periods of EB.

Damn, impressive frame-ups.

When the after hours thread was a thing, he had some great posts. Probably drove the mods crazy but that’s what made him...him.
Some of the wildest moments in EB forum history. Damn, what a bummer.
Yes ...

.... and yes.

Stunning to fall on this thread this morning. Dude had some crazy stories, but he also had a ton of outstanding art to share. RIP

RIP James, he seemed like a real genuine guy and a true art and music fan. Going to miss seeing his frame-ups.

Sad news, for sure.
As everyone has said, brought plenty of entertainment around here....especially in those late night posts.
Had some crazy stories.
Never met the dude, but seems like he was a great guy.

Sorry to hear this.

Sad. He loved that giant Mouse/Kelley skull & roses and it was quite a beauty. He was probably the best example of someone who put everything up on the wall instead of leaving it in the flat file - a good example for all.
