Frank is a very interesting person. It can be said that he is father of modern Rock Art. Indisputably, after the classic rock artists left the scene, it was Frank who revived it.

Frank’s work is often misunderstood. Frank has been around a while and rather than repeating the same identifiable look and feel he challenges himself to do it a different way every few years. It is very hard to drop something and start over again like that.

Each time he changes his style, it sometimes leaves fans of a particular style wanting. Luckily Frank’s incredible talent attracts new fans around every corner. In the rock industry, things all too often get stale. It is a breath of fresh air to see an artist so dedicated to his trade to change rather than wilt. I am sure Frank knows of how change inevitably disenfranchises some people, but in the end, the world is better for it.

I appreciate Frank and his work over the years. He is a genuine trustworthy and honest person. He is not just an artist, he is a businessman and I believe that is why he is as successful today as he was 20 years ago. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to work with him.

On a personal note, I truly admire frank. I know what it is like to try to one-up yourself. You are ultimately faced with people unhappy about the change attacking your new ideas that you invested so much of yourself into. It is a painful role, and the judgment of success or failure lurks just around the corner as you ultimately sacrifice your legacy to the turbulent waves of change.

Cheers to you Frank!

OK, so I have been doing my research, reading various web interviews & AoMR, and I have one major question. Why doesn't Frank's work get more love?
Aside from that hand full of posters...you know the ones, much of Kozik's work lists for like $10 on eBay and still doesn't sell. Is it the lack of name recognition of most of the bands? the quantity of the prints in the edition? the shift in stylings & shocking (or mocking) imagery?
I have spent a couple months studying his body of work and learning some background behind his various endeavors (printer, record company, toy designer). I haven’t read through his own publications yet, but I thought some people here could shed some light on aspects of Frank's career and the disparate values of his print portfolio.
-thanks

I think Frank gets lots of love. It is just that there is so much out there, people don't have to fight over it much.

I noticed something a few days back. Kozik has almost 2 times more art available that the next best. I really think this is a major reason the secondary market is more modest than one might expect. I don't think there is any lack of respect for his work.

Someday, Frank will have a similar status with Andy Warhol.
