That's what I'm thinking too. The copies for sale keep disappearing off of Ebay and only a couple people have them in trades (and are asking for old Stouts and the like).

Yeah i regret not picking one of these up last year... this print has grown on me a lot and I'd love to own one without having to take out a HELOC, but that's looking less and less likely.

For a reg too! What would the variant go for? $1100?

I’m so glad I picked up the variant when i did. Paid $290 I think, and I thought that was a lot back then.

It's kinda fun that this can still happen in this space post-2010. Keeps us on our toes. 8)

EDIT: I take back this comment as this is also what makes most of you greedy maniacs too.

I am in the same regret boat as this has shot past my spending limit. :hanging:

I got lucky and grabbed a variant many months back. I paid over market by paying $400 at the time but I just bought another poster from this guy and was there so I grabbed it, too. Turns out that was a good investment and it won't be on the market again unless my kids decide they don't want it after I die and sell it with the rest of my estate.

missed a chance to pick it up from a member here for 400 by about 10 minutes a month or so ago. so disappointing, as i think it's moved out of my price range, especially considering the money id have to put into it to get it proper framed. cant have em all

Such a nice nice print but my days of spending $500+ on a print are over. Unless I win lotto and I buy a Struzan Frankenstein.
