This one was fun to design and print - a special thanks to The Black Keys for inspiration and the guy who steered them my way, you know who you are!
I heard the merch booth sold out of all the posters before TBK's took the stage, which in itself is a great compliment. It's hella cool to do posters for gigs in Michigan, which had it's own Psychedelic Poster Renaissance happening in the mid-late 60's.
FYI, The lettering I used is from an alpha-numeric sample I found while searching for old art nouveau type styles, which I hand (re)drew, changing it into a bit of my own style and then digitized the pen and ink version for setting the type on this design.
I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of this tour series as they're released - Loving some of the European and U.S. designs that have been released so far.
