Didn't go to the show, live in Denver now. But, I agree with your statement about GR and concur about the "wicked women". Vitales Pizza on Leonard was our spot! Then there was a bar, the name changed a few times, that was amazing!mattlew69 wrote:Did you go to the show? I am really still in awe that Grand Rapids got 'the great' Dave Hunter to do a poster for a local show. Do a search on here of Grand Rapids and not too many posters show up. I own most of the posters and this, by far, blows them all out of the water. Well, except for my flocked Dirty Donny.Hornet wrote:Lived in GR for a few years. Great print!!
GR is a great little city, with the wild weather, wicked women, whacky weed and wonderful water, I don't think I will ever move.

The history of the Detroit area from the late 60's/early 70's is as storied for music as anyplace in the world. Also, several of the original gig poster artists started out in Detroit... a few noteworthy giants still obviously live/work there. So, it's not surprising that gamma is plying his awesome craft for gig posters in that neck of the woods. Gotta love it!
I always defer to someone who's wearing a beater, regardless of what else he's wearing.
Forgot about that poster and really wish i would have went to that show.

I have never been to Denver but have a strange feeling I would love it there, too. I need to go sometime, just for the snowboarding.
Yes, the boarding, sunshine, food, music, ect...are nice. I miss the water though. The Coast Guard Fest was always a good time.mattlew69 wrote:I live pretty close to Vitales on Leonard. Great pizza!
