Yes, especially for animation. I've seen Ponyo on Blu ray and DVD and the difference is huge. Simpsons HD vs DVD too. Bolder, solid colours.

Just finished the movie with the girlfriend.

Let's just say, she fell asleep half way thru. Sure if we were 10 this movie would have been more exciting
