the red one is someone who, as we found out, apparently doesn't like the red one. That's all we know.
It just looks bad.

My name is Brian. I live in Chicago. I'm a Gemini and turn ons include long moonlit walks on the beach, candlelit dinners, and QOTSA Emek's. Turn offs include the blood red Decemberists variant, Banksy, and the service at Obey.

that test print is really nice. it looks better than most of the colored variants. the whale really looks 3D against a b&w background.

what's the over/under on how many emails emek gets tonight asking to buy one of those?

How many he gets from pjtaper, or everyone else?

Over 72 from pjtaper
Under 5 from the rest of the world

Personally, for the price, Id rather have the initial, full color edition.

Thanks Sean. Unofficially back in action, for a little bit at least.

So, i'm pretty screwed on obtaining a Decemberists print, I figure.
Sucks. Eh, I guess I have to miss an onsale every so often.

BTW, you guys can have all the fat chicks.

I like the test print as well. Really does bring out the whale and the cranes.

...and it's not red.

See... I have to question this. How can you possibly know (unless you're Emek or jojo speaking under another login) what their relationship is? It's entirely possible that they DO have some sort of deal that you're not aware of - artists have been known to strike such deals with collectors (not just retailers) to sell some of their work. And it's their right to do business however they want.
Don't really want to stir the pot, but I do think that your thought is flawed in that it sounds as if you're saying you don't know what their relationship is but you do know that he's not meant to sell those - isn't that a matter between Emek and jojo?

I don't have a problem w/ Mark's opinion about flipping.....he's entitled to it. But, the flaw in his arguement is that I make money off of emek or any other artist. The fact of the matter is I don't pull a paycheck. Every penny I make goes back to the artists, some dealer like Dave, some lacky on ebay, or to pay f'n paypal fees.

Oh, I don't buy smack w/ the money either.....thank you.
You rat bastard.
