well the whole sub they have been increasing

the last 9 prints including this one

Cold moon - 600
Call of wild - 600
Up above - 600
warm my bones - 633
red sky - 633
blue windows - 633
yellow moon - 673
big birds - ???

when he sends out the email he should announce the run size, at the rate he is going the runs will be over 700 by the time the sub concludes

He won't go above 650. I wanna ask him to go back to runs of 350 but doubt that happens.
Same fudge, different drop.

Wow. I am surprised he is doing this it kind of screws the sub holders. Isn't 600 enough prints where does it end. It's likely the sub holders will take a hit on every print they decide to sell.

This.

I personally don't understand why people would buy the sub anymore. Chances are you won't frame all 12 prints, they aren't holding their face value, it takes longer to get the sub tubes, and you can buy the bonus print on the secondary market. HThe benefits just don't outweigh the perceived 'negatives'.

I like Dan's stuff but don't see the logic in his edition sizes. To each their own, one thing that's good is that it's never hard to find a 2009-2011 McCarthy that you like for a reasonable price. There was a package deal for about 6-7 prints over in the EB hookup thread for $200. There will be a plethora of FS threads once the sub tubes land.

Agreed. I'm all for an artist getting his paid dues, but at some point you have to say enough is enough.

I don't have a McCarthy sub, but if I did, I'd definitely be contacting him if I didn't like what appears to be happening here. If his customers say they are going to stop the money flowing in to him, he may listen to reasonable complaints about edition sizes, the impact on print values and the like. Just sayin'.
I always defer to someone who's wearing a beater, regardless of what else he's wearing.

I really dig how the almost leafless daytime tree becomes fully lush at night. Nice touch.

I know I'm not a frequent poster here, but if anyone has an extra please PM me... this is a stunning piece... I would trade too.

Edit: I had assumed I had at least posted here before, but sadly that's not the case. Hopefully I will own this gem one day nonetheless.
