I think the joke was, about a dozen or more Nestings have been sold with no prices recorded. It's kind of like, so many people assign value based on the EB chart, but Nesting has always been more of a gentleman's agreement* type of deal, specifically to avoid the idea that we can pop up a website and see that "Nesting is worth $X." It wouldn't surprise me to see that neither the all-time high nor the recent low are represented.

Everyone feels like an idiot for letting the original DRDC sale go...beyond that, plenty of sales have been just between buyer and seller.

* = gentleladys are, of course, more than welcome to purchase prints as well.

Was lucky enough to see one of these in person the other week, and I have to say that it deserves the praise it gets. Beautiful in person.
Will hopefully have one in my collection some day.
