This is one of my favorite PJ posters. Good thing every PJ poster isn't this good or I need to build an addition on my house for poster tube storage.

Jim needs to stop bidding up all of these on Ebay. Save some for the fish!

God damn I love Hess' fudge, even if it IS a PJ poster.

Still, such elaborate illo work and almost no attention to type
treatment whatsoever. What gives?

Damn! that last sale sold for $102?! I'm so pissed I didn't keep a better eye on that sale. the same #82 has sold with records on EB twice before. Once for $152 and again for $178. $102 is a bargain IMO.

It has a nasty oil spot on it. From what I understand that's not the only problem with it either. Even though I want this one, I don't want it with an oil stain for $100.

...which is a great reason to include the print number when tracking auctions & sales. Every now and then you can find prints that have changed hands a couple times. I find it fascinating to get a glimpse of a particular prints journey through multiple hands...similar to the movie Red Violin.

I like some of Hess' stuff, but I've never been a fan of this poster.
