it's simple. whenever there is a large demand with little supply, people compete for what is available, hence the price goes up..

Does anyone know if the Monkey Pod Gold prints have any individualized markings in the bottom-left corner, i.e. '#/100' or 'AP?

Judging from the pictures posted from someone's portfolio on this page, it appears that there are no markings in the bottom-left. But, I can't really see for sure.

What's more, according to the price history, well over a dozen sales have occurred on Ebay over the past five years, but only two numbers are indicated (5 and 94, I believe). If the prints are numbered, I can't understand why more numbers haven't been reported in the sale history; conversely, if they're not numbered, I don't know how someone knew these prints were specifically 5 and 94.

I'm stumped. Let me know if anyone has some insight. thanks.

Don't know about the specifics of the markings. Wish I had a copy to refer to. I'm sure they are numbered somewhere though since numbers are reported.

As for the numbers in the sales history- in order for them to be in the history, they must:
a) be noted in the ebay listing - either in the description or in a picture.
b) be noted by the person who transfers the information to the auction listing here.
Usually it is due to the lack of specified number in the original listing, I'd imagine.

yeah sometimes people won't bother putting the # into the field on the Auction Adder page, even if it IS noted in the eBay auction.

I just noticed the difference between the Metropark Gold and the Gold edition.

Now I kinda want all three versions!
