While I really love metallics, this is the one print where I think the colors on the reg are perfection.

The bright red on Ansin's regular Phantom blows the metallic variant away. No question.

I know this is said a lot, but the jpeg doesn't do the print justice. The colors look so much better in person

Totally agree...I actually prefer the variant, I feel like the more sombre palette really give at a more ominous tone...in love with this print...worth every penny...

I hope it was just a fluke and not the start of an upward trend.

I really need to own this. But it'll be a while before i can but together 1000 - $1200ish for the usual selling price. If it is gonna go to really crazy prices then there is no chance for me.

IMO,as fantastic a piece as it is, it is kind of overpriced at $1200. But at least i had reconciled myself with that being the upper limit and possibly attainable. 1600 bucks is insane.

Especially when one sold after that for less than $1k. I don't trust any of apgallery81's sales.

Are we talking reg or variant here? The variant will always hold value (and should climb) given the relatively small run. Yes, I am totally biased. 8)

The pic on the link to ebay in the sales history is for the reg,so is the edition size.
I don't quite understand it though - it looks like the end price was $2000, but it is recorded at 1660. :?
I'm confused.

I own the variant, and its amazing in person. One of my favourite prints. The metallics on it are some of the best I've seen
