Very nice poster. Definitely +1 for some version. Don't know which just yet. GREAT WORK! :D

This poster is a definite homerun. I'll probably go for a regular because I like the color scheme a little better.

And nice nod to Hearts of Darkness with the "I swallowed a bug" quote under the MPAA rating block.

Neh I call bullshit here. Olly "ripped off" Saul Bass and Tyler "ripped off" Drew Struzan and Led Zeppelin "ripped off" Muddy Waters and Eddie Murphy "ripped off" Richard Pryor and George Lucas "ripped off" Akira Kurosawa who "ripped off" Shakespeare and basically you're just talking out of your ass right now my friend.

Edit: additionally I don't even see the Olly Moss influence here. Are you talking about the silhouetted head being filled with other images? If so that's silly. Olly used that approach in one project and he certainly wasn't the first to do so. You want a silhouetted head? I can get you a silhouetted head. Hell I can get you one by 3 o'clock this afternoon... drymounting amateur :P

I think the term 'homage' is what Hollywood types like to use... :)

Yeah, right, its a "homage" to Olly and Tyler, because Olly is the only person who has worked silhouettes into his design, and Tyler is the only one who can do collages.

Tyler = linear, abrupt, and busy. This is pretty much the opposite.
Tyler = concentrates more on characters and ensemble casts. This is looking more at scenes and ideas.
Olly = minimalist. This is nowhere near minimalist.
Olly = clever graphic design. Again, no.

Extremely lame comparison IMO. :pint:

Agreed. I'm guessing the original quote was followed by a cowering snort.

You gotta admit 'rip off' is a strong negative descriptor.

DMSrabbit wrote:This is sweet. But why isnt it 24x36 like EVERY other movie print out there? Its too expensive to frame these "custom" prints. Standard 18x24 and 24x36 is much better and easier..
If you've got a mat cutter and a coupon to your local framing shop you can have this bad boy up in a 20x30 frame with a 2" mat around it for >$50. PERFECT size if you ask me
