That is how they come from Mondo, and I think that is how almost everyone around here would have done it as well. All three together should be a problem if the person knows how to roll them properly.meskell wrote: they arrived with the variants in one tube and the regs in another. I've only opened one tube at this point, which were the variants, and there was no type of protection separating the prints. All three rolled together and shoved in a tube
I have seen a lot of these (and the Moss prints) where the description says that the person never opened the tube, never unrolled them, never looked at them etc. but still says they are new/mint. They stopped being new the second that Mondo rolled them up. And if you don't open them, you don't know if they are damaged, and you can't get replacements from Mondo (lots of donkey flippers out there).meskell wrote:Needless to say the edges were damaged. At least enough to make a note of it when it comes to something that didn't come cheaply second hand.
I haven't gotten mine so I can be sure, but I know that sometimes Mondo numbers them in a place that is hard to see. It took me a bit to find the numbers on my Moss set. So I would say look around.meskell wrote:But this is where I'm asking for anyone's opinion out there that has already or will be receiving these prints in the future. None of the variants were numbered. I've been told that Mondo has sent out unnumbered prints in the past from editions that were listed as numbered. So I guess this could happen.
All that being said, if they seller said they were mint and numbered, and if they are not, you cant return them for your $$$. eBay and PayPal will side with you. Then send Mitch the info of the person that sold them to you, so they can be stuck with damaged prints.
edit - all this should probably be moved to the release discussion.
