definatly got around the no varient rule...

Im am trying to see what the different colors are...I hard about a green one, but have not seen it...I am not a varient freak, and will not frame these together or anything. I would love to do that with 10k lakes varients though. Obviously, the colors people like more or are less of will be more collectable...im keeping a blue one.

I got a blue one for me, and a purple for the girl (#69)

these posters are just awsome to look at!!!

another home run for Marq...
I purchased #77 at the show. It is definitely blue. Can anyone explain why the background would be so different 8 prints after the one mentioned above? Was there a separate run of purple prints?

Below that.... it says something about the coloration differences.

"The border color is made up of layers of transparent inks and thus changes a bit from print to print"

Okay, I get this, but, can someone explain exactly how these transparent inks work? I have seen both the blue posters and the purple posters. Someone commented earlier that #69 was purple, I have #77 and it is def blue. I could understand a subtle change in background color as the print run progresses (like low numbers are purple and gradually fade into blue as the numbers climb) but the stark contrast between the two colors has me wondering how it was achieved. Could Mr. Spusta have inserted the purple prints randomly throughout the batch prior to numbering them? Are these transparent inks used intermittently throughout the screen inking process as prints are pulled? Is this a trade secret that I am not supposed to know about? Please pardon my lack of knowledge on this process, I really dig this print and I would like to know more about how these colors were achieved. Perhaps a little more info on who has what number in their collection, and what color border they have would help evolve this discussion?

I dont know if this is the case with Marq, but I do know of other artists who number prints randomly (not in the order they were printed) so number doesn't have anything to do with anything other than the total amount of prints
