Forgotten in all the madness of DSO 2nd edition is this piece. I'm for once curious to see how it comes out. I think it can look great. It almost seems like a fog is in the air
ISO mccarthy ''the white tree' #6 and #10 canvases, or Clonal Colony aurora variant
Someone mentioned that the colors remind them of Dan's LOST print, and I agree. I really like the colors on this--not as dark as last month's print. Nice contrast.

I like this one. There is nothing quite like the light of a foggy afternoon, with the sun trying to burn through the thickness. The single tree makes this a bit more stylized and the sun directly overhead adds to that stylization for me.

Yeah it'll look great. The colours on Rousseau's transmission were so much nicer in print than in the JPEG.. I suspect this will be the same. The hills in the background make this and I love the fact it's got so much space - which really contrasts with most of his images. I can't wait to receive it.dylansdad wrote:Someone mentioned that the colors remind them of Dan's LOST print, and I agree. I really like the colors on this--not as dark as last month's print. so i'm trying to figure out what exactly the 4 colors are in this print.
the tree color, the mountain, the layer of fog (arguable) and the white from the paper?

Yeah, I'm with you. I'm a bit up-and-down about this one.hirschy75 wrote:Kinda boring but it's nice and simple
It's simple which is nice, and it being washed out is an interesting touch. At the same time, those two points are the same that put me a little off it.

I do like the simplicity of this image but I just can't justify buying it. I really want to see how this comes out in person though.
