Ok, how about the next stout print then?
I only buy pollock and stout because people tell me they are the bestest.

Oh, Stout's are a different animal altogether. I'd suggest packaging a Phish and a Lost together if you're flipping Stouts. Ask 10 times the original selling price, and then settle for whatever counteroffer you get.
Better yet, stick with your webstore. You have nice items for fairly reasonable prices (I only say this to be self-serving because I've purchased from the store), and you can avoid the nastiness of the flipping scene.
Any more advice and I'll have to start charging you

I always defer to someone who's wearing a beater, regardless of what else he's wearing.

I dont think its garbage at all.abephroman wrote:Straight lines and plain design. Methane'sTrey print in Feb was ok, but this is garbage.there is no reasoning by his statement alone- empty mind
From a design and printing standpoint I think its very strong. I give it good marks.
As I'm starting to think about framing this one, I noticed that it's almost identical in size to the '99 Pollock. Furthermore, the placement and sizes and fonts for the letters P-H-I-S-H on these 2 posters are virtually identical.
So, unless these similarities were coincidences, and I doubt this stuff was an accident, the new Methane matches up very nicely as a companion to the 11-year-old Pollock. VERY nicely done, Mr. Lee!

Hey downtown (and anyone else who has snagged one of these posters),
The colors of your pic makes it look like you have a red, white and silver poster on white stock. The colors of my poster are a sort of turquoise (i.e., an "off" blue", a pastel muted red (rather than a "primary" red), and silver, on stock that is obviously very "cream" colored rather than white or off-white. The colors of my poster just made me realize another connection between this Robert Lee Methane print and the '99 Pollock... The Pollock is primary colors red & blue on white stock, whereas this one is pastel-ish red & blue on cream stock... very similar in a way and completely different in a way... as if it were a 'mutation' by design. Also, the shape of several of the fireworks/rockets in the new print is exactly the same as Pollock's rocket. The net is the more I look at this poster, especially alongside JP's classic, the more awesome it is... an HOMAGE of sorts, in a very classy way... keeping the 4th of July theme rather than an Atlanta image scheme, etc. etc. etc., and the dates for both posters is July 3 & 4, with a single poster for the 2-day event. To add a bit of coincidence, I attended and bought both posters on the 3rd and was unable, for completely different reasons, to attend the shows on the 4th. As Yogi would say, it feels like deja vu all over again
