No wonder I couldn't get one here in Seattle.......Rockstizzle wrote:I just went to see Coheed in Portland & in Seattle this past weekend and yes people STILL listen to Coheed & Cambria (this was my 15th show since 2004). They are actually better than ever. I'm a Coheed as well as a rock poster fanboy so mock on if you feel the need to in order to make yourself feel better. I could care less.
Anyway... At each show on this tour there are only 6 of these posters available each night. They are $45. per poster and I bought three at each show. I only kept one and sold the rest (actually got reimbursed) to friends of mine who are also big fans of Coheed, went to a show on this tour, & most of them collect posters anyway. A few have other Emeks, too. I didn't profit at all yet know I probably could have, but like I said... they are my friends.
I have a "Black Card" (came with Deluxe version of new CD along with Novel & DVD) so that allows us early entry before the GA crowd and in Portland we got treated to a signing. So I got all three of the posters I bought auto'd by the band. I kept one of the autographed ones.
The next night in Seattle I bought 3 more posters although that night we got treated to Claudio doing an acoustic song before the show.
I had brought a big ass PVC tube (thanks Poster guy from Big Sky) that my 06 Co/Ca Emek came in to each show because I knew I was trying to score some of these and wanted to keep them safe and secure. I got to stash them in my car both nights so I didnt have to worry about them. All worked out well and I'm pretty freaking happy. Now I got all three Coheed Emeks.

How about a limit of one per person with only 6 avail at each show?

isn't it proper decorum to not narc on yourself on poster forums about how you bought 6 of the same poster from the merch booth?

The prints are indeed beautiful regardless if you like the band. Right On.

You guys are all correct. I probably should not have narced myself off. We live, we learn. I wasn't being greedy and I'm no flipper. These posters went to true fans of the band as well as the artist & they paid $45. just like I did. Sorry, but I am guilt free when it comes to this particular score... I hook up my pals because their mockery of me is much more brutal and entertaining than the garden variety abuse I get here.
At the concerts... if you don't have a black card you likely aren't getting one anyway being that there are only 6 at each show.
And from what I've seen on this EB forum most folks here are art collectors and admittedly most of you folks don't care for this particular band anyway. Emek is selling a new Pearl Jam poster tonight, Wednesday May 13 at 9pm Pacific on his site emek.net... hopefully that makes someone here happy.

And just so you all know... I didn't buy all 6 in one night. I bought 3 one night in Portland and 3 more the next night in Seattle just so I didn't screw other fans out of a chance.

I would have bought it if it wasn't signed. I think it detracts from the poster. I guess I don't care for the band too much, but like the poster nonetheless.hunkster wrote:Available again at this very moment, 75$ (signed by the band) 270587753035

Heh, I must not have an eye for detail, I didn't even notice the signatures in the ebay pictures, they blend in pretty well with the poster, no?
