this is one of the dullest flyers i ever did, the promoter wanted something with "big & dumb" type, at the time i was also arranging the printing and 600 posters were printed.
the show sold out before the posters were distributed,
so i had a box of these sitting around for quite awhile.
over the years i sold em for a few bucks each to anyone who wanted one
since this poster wasnt hung, there are a large amount of these in "mint" condition
this show was at the fox theater in portland

this poster sold in Julien's may 2008 auction for $1250 plus 20% buyers premium. Not bad for the dullest of the early Mike King Nirvana posters, wonder what the really good ones would do at the big auction houses.

gotta say Mike, I'm boring enough that I'd be happy to take one off your hands as well.

Saw them in 1993 in Oklahoma City. Some female Japanese group opened for them. I was working the event in a medical capacity so I was standing backstage. I think I knew 3 of their songs at the time. Any of the music concerts at the fairgrounds was open bidding so I chose this over Pearl Jam since some chick at work just had to see PJ. Awesome concert. I couldn't belive how much sound came from just 3 people. I remeber some stage hand guy smoking pot backstage and looking at me nervous and I was like dude...I dont give a damn I am here for medical..maybe you have glaucoma or something :)

Kurt walked about 7 feet from me after the event as he was leaving and they had trashed most of the equipment. Kurt's guitar, as much as he tried to demolish it, kept making noise so at the end he just walked up and unplugged it and left. After that I went out and bought most of their cd's.
