One of the dead giveaways to me is if it has some faint smudges. I believe near the right edge of the poster to the right of the printing of Albert Kings name and another smudge just above Bill Graham's name in the lower left hand corner. They sort of look like finger smudges and are present on the bootleg PP-3. One positive sign is the description of the dots in the flames. They are supposedly very well defined on the legit 2nd printing.

Yes the "Y" in the word "holy" is smudged.

I was told that copies of the second printing were cut to several different sizes. I've owned two copies of the poster, one of which I sold. I didn't measure them, but noticed that one had more space to the left of "Tea Lautrec Litho" than the other.

Here is a photo of the dot in the blue to white and a flame or two. How's she look?

It appears to be an authentic 2nd printing.

There were two posters a sheet for the 2nd printing so that makes sense - they were cut down the middle so my guess is the widths will vary - probably two sets of widths depending on whether you have the one on the left or the one on the right.

If the "Y" is clear you should be good to go - it's a pretty nasty smudge on the bootleg.

If I'm not mistaken, the smudges on the bootleg are black in color so I think you should be good to go. But as James said earlier, you should get it appraised to be sure.
