the Phantasy Pheast print was being printed on site at Bonnaroo, at least some of them were as I saw the printing press there, and prints being hung up to dry. They were indeed being sold as an extra to the Bonnaroo print for $1, making the set of those two prints $101

yeah, the paper the bonnaroo prints on is REALLY thick and this picture makes it look white... it is cardboard paper, and almost like thin cardboard... very strange textures!
I dig it

My math may be fuzzy, but $40 + $1 does not equal $101.

They were $100 at the Pollock tent. $40 at the Bonnaroo merch tent.

Darn it! I should have gotten some doodles while I was there. I talked with Pollock for a while, but I'm new to this and it didn't occur to me to get a doodle. I was able to get number 8 out of 101 of the Miami print.

Where the prints at Pollocks tent on a light-brownish paper? At the Mock Show last weekend he had a stack of 'Roo Posters on a brownish or tanish paper...

My memory's a bit fuzzy 10 months later, so I can't recall whether the $100 + $1 sale occurred late Saturday morning or late Sunday morning. I think it was Sunday. Anyway, the point to be made here is that the $40 Pollock Bonaroo posters were long sold out at the main festival merchandise tent by the time Jim put this package up. Also, he started out posing for pics wth buyers in addition to doodling, but it was taking so long that he ditched the photo sessions but continued doodling and chatting with all buyers. He is indeed a genuine good guy. By the way, he wasn't just doodling on the $100 + $1 poster "set", but anything you bought. He was customizing his doodles, so you could ask him to sketch most anything you desires, and he was personalizing like "To John Doe, blah, blah, blah". The experience at his tent was an event every bit as memorable as most any performance at the festival. Thanks Jim!!!
I always defer to someone who's wearing a beater, regardless of what else he's wearing.

Does anyone know the printing process on this ?
It almost feels like a letterpress. The ink is pressed into the chipboard.
I'm getting slightly attached to the 2 prints I have just before I'm letting them go.

FYI just got #990 from soldoutposters.com. First time with this site and was pleasantly surprised. $160 before shipping. MINT and looks great. They apparently have a handful left. Pricing says $230 but current promotion with 30% off. Chipboard is definitely darker than most pics online.
