My Don arrived w/ a dog ear bottom right corner....is this a reason to contact the artist? The other prints arrived in perfect shape. It will frame out.....so at this point I will probably just not say anything......I wasn't to happy to see this.....and then I saw the fade..ugh

FWIW I bought the sub before knowing of a bonus print. Iam still very happy w/ my wife and I's sub purchase.

did you play around with the settings in this one? The paper looks white, so I'm guessing things look brighter. Sweet blend regardless!

I used the point n shoot on auto and the flash is a little hot. I'll try it again with a better camera and ambient light some time.

Got my tube through today. Pretty pleased with it but my fade on 'Up Above' is a bit low for my liking and my DSO has really obviously lines in it. I'm pretty gutted.. it looks alright but I can't see myself hanging it unless I vow to squint every time I walk past it.

Also got my McCarthy Star Trek.. the fade is amazing in comparison.

This is what will be hard for me to get past. Variations w/fade is fun to see (i.e. "up above" low/high fades). Just no lines...please.

DaleCooper, you're in UK...yes? I still haven't received my tube yet. If I don't get it today...should I email Dan for a tracking number? Or would you guys wait awhile longer? He probably has his hands full already...really hate to bug him. I'm sorta' getting worried now.

Yeah, I'm in the UK. this tube shipped on March the 15th, so not too long ago. I can't really understand how it got here so quick as they usually take up to a month with customs. I'd say give it until the end of the week. There's no harm in dropping him an email then I don't think.

That's what I thought, DC. Yeah, I was surprised to see your post...that you had rec'd your tube so fast. Perhaps Arizona has gone back to using the Pony Express...? I'll give it until the end of the week.

Nope, no lines. I did however get a dinged corner but I don't care it's getting framed.

With your McCarthy collection I'd have figured you had multiple dso1s.
got 1 first, and one test print. you can't see the plane outline on the dso1. at least not on mine, but it probably varies.
varies. Check the photo gallery. I uploaded a pic to the data base years ago

that photo above is very interesting to me - the spot inside the place appears white in color?? Is that common?

On my copy of DSO1, the spot in the plane is clearly red in color. Is that just a funny light/flash or do some have red there while others have white?
