I have been searching for this one as well... it tops my Burwell ISO list.
It never comes up... been looking for ages.
Great image, I like it because it isn't as cluttered as some of Guy's work.
I dig negative space.

I got mine directly from Guy a few years back, #19. Just looked at it today and I agree on the negative space, more striking image than some of his other MMJ posters with 9000 things going on...pm me if interested in it

I used to own this poster and was very fond of it indeed. One of Burwell's best.
I almost got it framed, but for some reason it creeped my wife out.
She really is a most peculiar woman.

I was able to grab the last one available through Newbury Comics earlier this year, with a run of 95 I imagine these will be fairly hard to locate as time goes on. That said, with a sale like that it may entice others to try and sell them, ala the McCarthy 'Don Stepped Outside' shortly after one sold for $500.
....I'll sell mine for $500!

the wife and I decided yesterday that it gets framed before Christmas. I am thinking of double matting it with a dark wood frame, the inner mat to match the red and the outer mat to match the gold.
something like this maybe....any ideas

I think that would look great. I was just looking at my copy this weekend...the gold metallics really stand out, and I think that mat job would really look great with the print.johnr1311 wrote:the wife and I decided yesterday that it gets framed before Christmas. I have a pretty strict 'no frame-up if I wasn't at the show' policy or this one would have been framed by now.
I go with the art/artist/band and I dont care if I was at the show. Here in St Louis we dont always get the shows and rarely get the artist.
I want the 2003 Baaaaaaaaaaaaaad!

just for the record, the print actually sold for $300
i have been after this one for a very long time, it is easily the most difficult of the mmj burwells, so i am happy. also, after leaping this hurdle, i am in the homestretch for the complete mmj burwell collection
there was also a sale earlier this year for around $250. i doubt anymore of these will come up for a very long time, at least not for below $300

Who deserves the R2D2 cookie jar more? The Star Wars fan, or the Cookie Jar nut?
