guess you don't believe in the value of the free market? Any item is only worth what people will pay. I gladly paid for this piece.HeadieMonster wrote:$625!!!!
You should think about getting the gold Flash too then.. still at 100 pounds, very limited, it feels like a no brainer. I've yet to see it, but the hand applied gold paint as the flash effect just screams custom framing with paint on the mould like we saw for the Splash one.. just with a sparkling flashy pattern instead of the splashy one.. get that??.. fancy fudge..grub2323 wrote:i have owned this mans work for sometime now and very nice to see ppl appreciating his work, finally some recognition! respecct G-Man... to date I have : red and white splash on paper, Lola (special) on paper and Shoeshine boys "one off" on fireboard!!!
This print has been around for a little while... I think that people finally are realizing how amazing the image is. Trying to compare the controversy/hype over MBW's work to the recent astonishment that people seem to be having with Grafter's Splash is a pretty ignorant thing to do...Eighty wrote:First MBW, now Grafter this place sackrides anyone with a scalpel and a pirated copy of photoshop
I don't have mine in hand yet. However, kingofprussia sent me a link of some more up close pics of it. It shows it is signed in two spots on the back, and numbered as well. No signature or number on the front. here is the link, you have to be a member of phishposters to view though. http://www.phishposters.com/yabbse/inde ... 37850.2100angus3102 wrote:Pretty much what I thought. Maybe build an art shelf with a simple lip or a groove for board to fit in. Are they signed on the back or numbered?Subtle wrote:I don't know exactly how you need to preserve this....I don't think it needs much preservation, besides getting some dust on it it should be fine.angus3102 wrote:I just got the last wood one! I had to keep adding to my cart until whoever had it in theirs timed out.
So, I just ordered it and received payment confirmation from paypal!
This year so far, I won the miss bugs giveaway paper version for "super heart falls from the art" and found a way to buy this.
Now for the real question, how do you hang, perserve, display a print like this on wood?
I plan on getting a couple simple wall mounts or whatever you may call them, and putting two at the base of the print, and just resting it up against the wall. It should be fine that way i imagine.

My wood edition is signed on the back four times by Grafter and he listed the year as well.
That is funny, huh.Subtle wrote:maxine wrote:The wood edition does not have the edition number on it. You get a certificate of authenticity that will have your edition number on it.

well, the one that kingofprussia has you can see at the link above, IS numbered on the back 3/10.
Sorry, I missed that. It is numbered and signed actually eight times. I missed the detail on the darker part of the wood.Subtle wrote:maxine wrote:The wood edition does not have the edition number on it. You get a certificate of authenticity that will have your edition number on it.

Is it against forum etiquette to repost the pics from that site on here? I won't do it if told otherwise.maxine wrote:Sorry, I missed that. It is numbered and signed actually eight times.
