yeah, i understand exactly what you're saying but... wouldn't catering to " the wants of the masses" be considered selling out. i'd like to think that keeping ones artistic integrity and not watering down your work would win in the end.

it seems to me that Aaron is doing what he wants to do, in the way he wants. i think that his priority is staying true to his craft and working for people he respects and admires rather than those that might cut him a large cheque or show his work to a larger audience. if you haven't already, track down some interviews with him and you'll get some insight into the kind of person he is.

you're right though, if he really wanted to, he could be HUGE in the art world. but like a lot of the bands he works for, they don't look for mainstream success.

and i hardly think BoNA would even consider stopping printing/publishing his work cos some of his posters haven't sold out. they're pretty expensive, and it's possible the reason for the high price and big print runs is to curb the flipping. and though you might disagree, even if he continues down the path he' been going down, i think the guy has a tremendously bright future.

... very interesting discussion. i'd love to get in a time machine and go forward 10 years and see how he's doing.
Well, what do you think? :D

I love thinking that you set a reminder for yourself in some calendar to go back to this. Awesome post.
