How is this print not sold out yet? Judging by how quickly the other prints have sold out, I thought this one would be sold out by now, even with the run of 200. I have unsuccessfully tried to get an Evan Hecox print for awhile now. I got this one though!

Yeah even at 200 I'm surprised how long it's been available.*devo* wrote:How is this print not sold out yet? it's probably b/c people have struggled to flip the last few hecox arkitip prints for anything and so now the only people buying are the ones who enjoy his work.

I slowly got into Hecox work progressively, release after release, but never pulled the trigger (or arrived too late at the party). I'm glad this run has been raised to 200... probably helped me getting one... certainly one of my favorite of his. I like the color palette, which were carefully added...nice touch imo..it stays just subtle enough for his type of vibe, yet gives the art some punch...
And about flipping, Hecox prints seem to be more fail-ip than anything else... I think the 200 print run virtually makes this unflippable.. even if this one is especially hot to my eye.displacedbear wrote:it's probably b/c people have struggled to flip the last few hecox arkitip prints for anything and so now the only people buying are the ones who enjoy his work.

Careful, Arkitip has doubled the edition size on this at the $125 price. Investment-wise probably not the best Hecox to get, but it looks nice. Still available from Arkitip.

it's funny the more you like a print, the less you care about it's flip-ability.
i like this and most of his city scapes. would i feel a bit better if i got one, it sold out in five minutes and started selling for 5x the amount, sure, but i'll never sell it so who give a ship.
