Yep, I'm not going to ever say a bad word about the Cure and Mr. Smith ever again. Wish some of MY favorite bands would take some of the same pains as The Cure has to protect their fans from scalpers. coughPHISHcough.

For all of us that purchased tickets for this tour, we got a $10 refund per ticket!plaink wrote: ↑Wed May 17, 2023 2:11 pmAll their merch was also more than reasonably priced. Robert Smith is about making sure the band's fans are covered.haven wrote: ↑Wed May 17, 2023 1:02 pmIf I remember correctly The Cure were pretty anti-Ticketmaster when their shows were announced. Against the platinum tickets, that sort of thing. This seems like they're trying to make sure as many people as possible can get what they want, rather than being concerned with edition integrity.
He’s really taking care of the fans!

Huge cure fan so this is some funny stuff…turnJBup wrote: ↑Wed May 17, 2023 12:13 pmSorry Mike… you can’t sugar coat this.
This looks like the new normal.
Every Cure poster thus far has a reprint except one?
Probably just waiting until the 1st printing finally sells out.
The enormous 1st edition wasn’t enough… there’s more money to be milked.
I like money.
But I would decline.
Money to be milked? It’s a $30 screenprint. Wow they must be rolling around in all that cash lollll. Damn you Todd Slater for allowing this to happen to the hobby maaaaaan.
The print must cost at least half the $30 (idk what the cost it is just a guess). Sounds like more of a hassle for them than anything. It’s pretty obvious they’re doing it for fans who didn’t get to buy one because the merch lines are a mile long or someone has other things to do than watch thecure.com all day waiting for the random drops. This is the same band selling $25 t-shirts, $25 lawn seats, giving people refunds and fighting Ticketmaster.
I think this is a great idea, I hope all bands take notice of King Robert and what he’s doing for tickets and merch. What a ridiculous thread.

Says the guy with a website in his handle flipping posters. You would be exactly the type of guy Robert is doing this to stop.

Are the second editions different colors? Kinda seems more like a variant than a reprint. It's a second edition just like any variant?

Picked up an artist edition that is up currently. Some notes from Todd:
