Saw the show at Lakewood last night.
Reminded me totally of Rod Stewart & The Faces...
The energy, the Ronnie Wood like slide guitar throughout the show, CRob strutting around like Rod Stewart, the 3-4 minute power pop songs.
It was indeed a celebration.
I always defer to someone who's wearing a beater, regardless of what else he's wearing.

Rick! I love you, but you’ve been wrong before about these guys in their latter days and you are again.

They’ve got Richard Marx’s uberstudio drummer and Earthless’ noodling guitarist in place of half of the core of their seminal sound. And Chris looks like a pregnant yoga instructor wearing a hobo skinsuit. SAD!
