Have not seen the film (yet) but the use of the ammo cannister as the stage in this poster is very clever.

The film was released in 1984 and no one watched it then so why break the streak? IMO the poster is better than the movie.

This version of the movie was released on October 11, 2019. It focused much more on Gregory Hines's character and included several restored musical numbers. It adds 27 minutes and cuts 13 from the original version.

Having been one of the 5 people that watched the original I think the edits would improve things. Hines' character was more interesting than Gere's.
