Yeah, a lot of people are claiming to have received the prints because they were "campaign workers".

The only prints distributed by the campaign (never sold) were done so at the national headquarters in Chicago. These were given out to Chicago Staff and long-time volunteers.

The benefit of course is that they were never rolled or shipped. They were stored flat. They also had the most desirable numbers and all numbered below #200 were signed by the artist.

After the campaign:
The company contracted by PIC did a horrible job in shipping these prints- treating them poorly rather than expertly shipping them.

I think this auction might be a fake. eBay 150331852629

Man, these have really come down in price. I almost tried to snag the last one (#46) that went for less than $600.

Hello,
Can anyone help me with some information regarding the official (limited to 5000) 'Change' poster signed by Shepard Fairey.
It is my understanding that Fairey signed the first 200 posters which were then given to delegates and helpers during the campaign.
Does this mean he signed the posters numbered: 1 - 200 ? Or any/randomly numbered posters out of the limited 5000 ?
Does it mean that he only ever signed 200 of these 'Change' - i.e. he didn't sign others at a later date if people asked him to.
I would think that what gives the signed official 'Change' posters their value is the fact that he only ever signed 200(as agreed) - am I wrong on this ?
There are a lot of knowledgable people who use this site, I would be grateful if you could share what you know with me.
Thanks,
Thierry

Shep did sign the first 200 for the Obama camp. Shep will probably sign one if asked....

Yes, he only signed the original 200 and refused to sign the other 4800 for 2 - 3 years or so after the campaign. But it looks like he's changed his tune lately since I got him to sign my high-numbered print this month.

Wow. I've owned this one for years and I had no idea there was so much drama associated with it. Good to know.

Ha - you're probably just a bible-thumping Christian who drives a non-electric vehicle and eats at Chick-Fil-A!

Dude, besides the Bible thumping part...Driving gas guzzling, high horsepowered toys is freaking awesome and Who doesn't like Chick-Fil-A!!!

On the other hand the Change poster is slowly dropping in value BUT it's so iconic and being that it's a Fairey print I bet 10-20 years from now the value will be over a $1000 in current dollar value.
