It captures the movie perfectly in a single image without being too overstuffed.
It's just not going to hit everyone that way.

Kurtz' poster really captures the essence or feeling of the film. I think it's the best Drive poster yet. FWIW, I don't really care if a poster is 'alternative' or not. I just want killer art that does the property justice and this hits the mark.
edit- didn't see your post before I posted, Paul.

I agree. I'm also biased in that I'm one of those people who absolutely loves Drive. After getting Graduate and ACO at MC3 I was really hoping the next Kurtz would be another I'd gladly hang.35mmpaul wrote:It captures the movie perfectly in a single image without being too overstuffed.

I mean its nice image but sure as hell not $300+ nice, but who the hell am I to tell people how to spend their money. Its literally the same concept as tailors sans portrait. Driver standing next to car with hammer, its even the same color. I'm not taking anything away from Kurtz on this hes a truly exceptional artist just think the concept is lacking... now ghost co...

I mean, I think the Olly Star Wars set is pretty cool. $5k plus cool? Nah. You can get some incredible originals for that price.

"Am I into the image? I don't know."
Drop. Flips. and $$$ Later.
"Oh man yeah I think I need to get that one"

I like it a lot, think it's my joint fave with the James White print. It captures the tone and aesthetic of the film really well (the lighting is good) and it's just a satisfying image - Gosling with toothpick, shades, scorpion jacket and hammer, pretty cool if you're into Gos (which I am).

Yeah, not saying it's a cool thing to do, but it is something that people do.rubberneck wrote:I try to avoid those hipster bars.mfaith wrote: Also, you've never seen anyone where sunglasses at night/inside?
