I love how menacing and ominous the hiding Alien looks. It looks like it's hibernating, waiting for them. This print works because it does not show the Xenomorph, just like 95% of the film. The horror is in the subtlety and the mystery. I've been waiting for an Alien print like this. Durieux delivered IMO. I can't decide between the green titles and accurate color scheme of the regular and the metallics of the variant. Very excited to see detailed shots of these.

Needed to be more gritty imo. Have rain or debris blowing across composition.

Environment seems too calm, planet atmosphere was more agressive.

Concept image appeared to have it. Also had vertical rain in BN tease snippet.

100% agree about that. I had the same complaint. Wonder why he decided to scrap that from his concept. Maybe he had trouble getting the effect he wanted. The ship is so far off in the distance it might have been difficult for him to draw the weather from that perspective? Do we have any examples of him even attempting to draw fog or representing atmospheric perspective? His style has always been so clean cut.

great piece aside from the crashed ship, feel that could have used a more honest depiction. That detail aside its a great poster by LD.

I wish he had gone through with the concept and made a variant out of it for example. I prefer that one

Parts are nice.

Hard to tell if people are walking down, up, or across. The cues lead me to perceive down/across.

I don't get the use of metal for this one. Artwise, I like that it isn't just a xenomorph print but it feels like it lacks a certain atmosphere...or something.

Its atmosphere is a yellow brick road feel. Three little astronauts out for an adventure. And their destination, which should serve up all the angst and foreboding of the piece, is ruined by a sight gag.
Still, it's professional and has a high class look to it. (Alien decidedly wasn't professional or high class though)
I dunno, I like it enough to not say I don't like it.
