75 sold only as a combo for buying both Durieux and Wiggins, then the other 80 sold as individuals for an actual run of 155? That seems a bit shady.
I can see why they were so concerned with moving more copies, with 155 of each.

Yeah, that's not right.

Happy to have avoided this by being a 'conditional', non buying fan.

Also avoided this by being in Kramerica's group of conditionalists (is that a word?).

So are European business practices generally this shady, or is it just Americans they are okay with misleading?

The Bear editions were advertised as 80 and 80 at the drop. This was false advertising, pure and simple. BOO. Big time drymounting BOO.

I was annoyed by the slippery MoT schedule, but this seriously blows.

Just lost a fan, Brothers Durieux.

to be honest I'm not sure what Jack meant. did he mean a combined run of 155? so, maybe 80 of the English & 75 of the French...but numbered as one edition?

It's rather convenient that customers only find out about this now.

I'll back off on my criticism, for the moment. But my suspicions remain.

The "duo" editions are when you buy a set of the 1 L. Durieux print and 1 Mick Wiggins print (there is an English set and a French set). Each of the artists did a version in English and a version in French.

On the Nautilus site, they list the combination/set/duo as a run of 75. They list the individual versions as a run of 80 each (for each L. Durieux print) or 30 each (for each Wiggins print).

So, I think it means there are 155 of each English Durieux print (75 from the print sold as part of the duo/combo sets plus the 80 sold individually) and 155 of each French Durieux print (same calculations). And I assume 105 of each English Wiggins print (75 from the print sold as part of the duo/combo sets plus the 30 sold individually) and 105 of each French Wiggins print (same calculations).

From the pictures posted and close ups, it looks to be another beautiful and detailed piece of art excellence also.
